  • Aikido is known as a self-defense art. We teach children to be assertive, not aggressive. A primary concept of Aikido is to use an attacker's force against them. We lead bully awareness by building self-esteem and confidence—two of the major forces that prevent children from being targets.

Top Tips for A SAfe & Awesome Halloween

  1. Travel in groups. The best ghosts, monsters, and witches stick together.

  2. Have parents/guardians check candy before eating. A second set of eyes never hurts.

  3. Be visible. Choose bright costumes for the night, or wear glowsticks and bring a flashlight. Plan route in well-light areas

  4. Up your listening skills! It’s easy to be very excited. Look both ways when crossing roads and streets and employ first-time listening skills.

  5. Stick to your route, and don’t enter strangers’ homes or cars. For those who are old enough to go without a guardian, if you have a cell phone, share your location with your parents.
